BIO
DHARAM KHALSA
As a naturally curious person and an appreciator of the natural world,
I approach photography as an excavating tool.
One which compels and inspires me to look deeper.
Searching through my world to explore its entire scope,
the budding nostalgia, and wonder.
Celebrating these attributes of existence and continuously searching
for new ones is what inspires me to make images.
At a young age, I was sent to school in India, giving me some exposure
to the breadth and width of the human condition.
Sprouting empathy and compassion while revealing tones of life that
have only become more defined with age. The study of form,
a study I appreciate very much, came to me through skateboarding.
It has helped me to find the interesting and aesthetically pleasing within
the unassumed and mundane reality of footpaths, driveways,
and constructs of the urban landscape.
